Other Ways to Invest:
The U.S. is the largest free country mission field on the face of the earth with over 195 million people who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. You can be an even more integral part of reaching this nation for Christ by growing in God's call on your life to greater service and leadership in the ministry of your local church's ministry to your community and by supporting the multiplication of churches in the following ways:
- Learn to more effectively reach the lost and hurting community that surrounds you and your church. Evangelizing and reproducing leaders from the harvest is at the heart of multiplying the growth of God's Kingdom through church planting.
- Understand the need for church planting and how church planting fulfills the Great Commission better than any other single method of evangelism/outreach.
- Pray for leaders (planters) and workers (team members) because the harvest is plentiful (Mt. 9:35 -38)
- Join with a church plant as an intercessor
- Promote prayer and awareness of planting in your local church
- Start a Missionary Advocate Ministry ministry in your church
- Donate time to church planters
- Accountants might help planters set up their books or oversee their accounting,
- Graphic artists might donate time for logo development,
- Computer web people might donate time to develop a web site,
- Builders might help build a stage, portable sound booth or other items
- Children's ministry specialists might help train the planter's new children's workers,
- Musicians might donate time for a few months to be a part of a temporary worship team and assist the planter in identifying and developing his/her own worship team
- Take a short-term trip to help the planter with a specific task or ministry event (focus on covering the tasks with the least relational contact so as to allow the planter and his/her team to be free to meet the people they are trying to reach).
- Donate money to a church planter—here are just some of the possible needs:
- Church Planter missionary support will allow the planter and team members to work less and invest more time in evangelism and discipleship
- Donate good equipment like children's church equipment, computers, software, video projection units, projection screens, chairs, tables, cell phone service, outreach supplies, etc.
- Help cover outreach costs like rental of rooms or facilities, postage and mailers, give-away items for children's events, food costs for events
- Provide funding for sending planters and their team to continuing education training events and conferences
- Care for the planter and his/her family by
- Covering the costs for the planter and his/her family to get away for a couple days of rest and relaxation,
- Scholarship a planter's family to attend the annual Pacific Region Spring Conference, or
- Providing gifts (especially for the children and spouse) around holidays and birthdays
- Purchase curriculum or ministry tools that the planter wants to use, but has a hard time affording (outreach or discipleship materials, videos, etc)
- Join a church plant as a team member
- If God is calling you to plant or be a team member, get involved in training and learning about the planting process
